Figuring my bill

Electric meters are read on the last day of the month via Automated Meter Reading.
All electric bills are due on the 27th of each month.

General Electric Service

Track the kilowatt hours (kWh) you used on your meter for the month, or use the amount shown on your bill – (they should be about the same).

Multiply your kWh by the energy charges shown below in Line A. (This is SIP’s residential rate, which stays the same each month.)

Multiply your kWh by the power cost adjustment rate in Line B. (This is the factor SIP pays for power; it may vary quarterly.)

Add the above amounts to Line C, the facility charge. (This charge will stay the same each month.)

Add 7% Indiana sales tax to get your total amount due.

Monthly Rate Schedule (residential):

A. Energy charges (all kWh per month)……………………………….....$0.0975/ kWh
